1-2# beef short ribs
1 medium onion chopped
2 carrot diced
1 rib of celery chopped
12oz black cherry soda (we use Dr. Brown's)
Salt and Pepper
Preheat the oven to 350
Mix 1C of flour and 1T of The Killer Cook's Everything Rub together and place in a shallow pan for dredging.
Melt the butter in the bottom of a dutch oven.
Salt and pepper the short ribs to taste then working in batches, dredge in the seasoned flour and brown on all sides in the hot butter.
Remove the browned beef and set aside, add the onions, carrots, and celery and saute till slightly tender, deglaze with cherry soda and add The Killer Cook's Mr. Brownstone Black Cherry BBQ sauce.
Stir well and add short ribs back to the pan cover and place in oven for 2-2.5 hours.
After the meat is tender and delicious skim off fat from the gravy and remove the meat.
Place gravy in blender and puree till smooth.
Place meat back in smooth gravy and enjoy!
